Combining exercise and meditation

In the first study to analyze the combination of exercise and meditation together, Rutgers found symptoms of clinical depression reduced by 40%. 52 students meditated for 30 min twice a week for 8 weeks, then hit the treadmill for 30 min immediately afterward. At the end, everyone reported significant improvements in mood and anxiety levels, and less time dwelling on negative situations.
