Depression versus anxiety

A patient brought up an important revelation today that I find very useful: for the most part depression deals with the past, and anxiety generally are worries of the future that may or may not happen.  These emotions can be so different for each person, that it helps to have some direction on where to dig deeper and get to the root cause.
