Float tank therapy

Many patients report to me that the biggest challenge to meditation is finding the time and place where there will be no distractions.  Float tank therapy offers a solution to that problem.  I experienced it for the first time this weekend.  The calming, unique sensory-input-controlled environment is designed to allow you to unplug and have a break from the constant bombardment of the noises of the outside world.  You just float in a personalized pod or tank, where there is an absence of light or sound, the water is kept at the same temperature as your skin, and filled with Epsom and Dead Sea Salts.  For me, there was nothing left but to focus on your body, your breathing, your heartbeat, and let stress melt away.
