Ideas for random acts of kindness

Here are some ideas from Lynn Robinson of random acts of kindness to feed your soul:
  1. Send a card to someone who could use some cheering up.
  2. Make an extra portion of your next meal and bring it to a neighbor or friend.
  3. Smile at strangers on the street.
  4. Volunteer to drive someone to their doctors appointment.
  5. Teach someone how to read.
  6. Offer babysitting services to someone who could use a break.
  7. Offer a small gift (candle, book, card, inspirational quote) to a stranger.
  8. Give someone a hug.
  9. Share your favorite skill or talent with someone.
  10. Bring someone flowers (and buy some for yourself, too!)
  11. Shovel a driveway, rake leaves, do some gardening.
  12. Spend time really listening the next time you're in a conversation.
  13. Pray for someone. Pray for more love and kindness in the world.
  14. Get to know someone from a different religion or ethnicity.
  15. Buy some grocery store gift cards to give to the homeless.
  16. Visit someone in the hospital or nursing home.
  17. Volunteer at a non-profit that is aligned with your interests and skills.
  18. Buy some toys for a family who doesn't have any at the holidays.
  19. Offer to pick up groceries for an elderly or ill neighbor.
  20. Make some homemade gifts and share them with others.
