Using Visualization to Facilitate Healing

When you feel like your body is failing you, one thing you can do is to close your eyes, and visualize physically what needs to happen inside your body to start healing.  For example, if you are suffering from nerve damage, visualize what needs to happen for the nerves to heal.  To help, you can google anatomical images to help you picture things more specifically, and you can even read about the physiology to help you understand how your body works in that area.  Athletes use this technique successfully, why not you?
